INTERMOLD2012 (The 23rd Molding and Casting Technology Exhibition) was held in INTEX Osaka for four days from Apr. 18 (Wed.) through Apr. 21 (Sat.) . The aggregated total number of visitors to INTERMOLD2012 and the jointly held Exhibition of Metal Stamping Technology Exhibition exceeded 45,000 with a rapid increase compared to 40,000 in 2010. In the meanwhile, the booth of C&G Systems Inc. welcomed over 1,400 visitors in four days. We would like to express gratitude to them.

In this Exhibition, the latest version of our CAD/CAM system was showcased along with actual machines equipped with the system. We also provided our customers with a consultation compartment where we were ready to find out their needs and comments on our ongoing and would-be products.

(In the Booth of C&G Systems)

Our selected products in this Exhibition were “CG Series,” “CAM-TOOL,””EXCESS-HYBRID,” and “Craft MILL.”  As for CAM, the samples cut by our customers, i.e. the mold manufactures, as well as those cut by us were exhibited with the detailed explanation about the cutting techniques by our staff.  In addition, many customers gathered to enjoy participating in the drawing of lots for our complimentary goods.

(Open Seminar)

Besides the demonstration of our products in our booth, we held an open seminar in the Exhibition hall, which was titled, “For those who are considering introducing 5-axis applications, is 5-axis peculiar to limited usage? Are 5-axis applications only to be found overseas?  What are we going to do with 5-axis?”  In the seminar, a variety of data and introduction examples were presented while we convincingly showed the superiority of “CAM-TOOL,” one of our CAM applications, which operates in conjunction with 3-axis and 5-axis cutting seamlessly.

(Exhibition in the Booths of Other Companies)

Makino Milling Machine Co., Ltd. and C&G Systems Inc. jointly made some suggestions of mutual partnership beyond the boundaries of two different companies mainly on the theme of “Molding and 5-axis Cutting” in the booth of Makino.

In the booth of Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, C&G Systems Inc. presented several examples of benchmark testing with the tools of the former company and CAM-TOOL of the latter company from rough finish final finish. This testing was made in Thailand, which is referred to as a “Detroit in Asia,” drawing much attention of the visitors as an early test case.
